A COMPLETE MODERN OVERHAUL WITH ORIGINAL PERIOD CHARM
This one-bedroom house in Bollington needed some serious TLC when we purchased it in December 2024. We took the property back to its brickwork and started from scratch taking down the wall separating the lounge and kitchen to create a large, living space that flowed from front to back. We kept original features where possible – one of which was a stone seat found when we took down the understairs storage to create a more open kitchen and allow room for a dining table – which the stone seat complimented brilliantly.
Moving upstairs, we were able to restore the original floorboards in the hallway and master bedroom while stripping back the fireplace to create a great focal point in the room. The bathroom needed major work and the finished look really makes the property stand out from your typical 1-bed terraced house. On completion we rented the property out for 18 months as a holiday let before selling in March 2026.
